Berrett-Koehler Publishers, New YorkRETURNING HOME IN BODY AND MIND –NOTES TO THE EDGE OF BEING A SOLDIER(SUMMARY)In my study I would like to describe the process of reunion in soldiers after returning home from amission. This is a difficult process and involves a lot of possible disturbances. If these disturbanceswon’t be dealt properly they can cause psychological injuries and can lead to leaving of the militaryprofession or even to critical incidents, just like in the case of the hostage taker in Balkány. Contradictoryto this, if these process works properly, in a creative way, the individual and his surroundingscan benefit from it. Working as a psychologist in a military organization I’m try to convert and canalizethe reunion process in this creative way both individually and in group work either. The experiencesof reunion trainings, the psychological consultation and other mental health trainings in theHungarian Defence Forces (HDF) worked as a basis for my study. Besides this the results of the innerresearches were also built in this work.
