Around this National under Charley Johnson were carrying out an unpaid study for another
client, Hans Hopper of BP which was laterally called NASPS (New Approach to Subsea
Production Systems) running in parallel with a funded BP study called DISP (Driverless
Intervention Subsea Production). This hanger was then taken up and reconfigured to a 7-1/16
x 2-1/16 concentric tubing hanger consisting of an annular sleeve in place of the poppet
valves. Further variants of this type of hanger conceived to carry power for down hole pumps
and/or electrical single feedback for pressure and temperature monitoring. These hangers
were not suitable for pulling through the tree valve block due to the larger annulus area
required by BP. This system was conceptually developed into a full system complete with
single trip running tools, split actuators ROV operable and was laterally re-configured to
operate by electric power.
Hans Hopper (BP) built a full 1/8T" scale model for a 8-slot template which was on display
within the BP annex reception area and if my memory serves me correctly around 1986. The
split actuator went on to a full developed project in its 5-1/8 form by Herman Hawkins of
National supply in the states.
The CC (customer consumption) drawing register was used for recording all proposed
concepts specific for client review/consumption. The recorded date within this register was
intended to be the start date but in practice and in most cases the register was filled in on
completion. This register ran numerically and dated as and when the drawings were produced.
There was a second register used for controlling the manufacturing drawings when awarded a
project.

patenthavers fullmektig:
"Vi viser til Annen avdelings oversendelse av innsigers svar av 21. september 2009, innsigers
svar og erklæringen fra Murray McIntosh som var vedlagt.
Patenthaver opprettholder sin prinsipale påstand at tegningen CC-8009 (D9) aldri har vært
allment tilgjengelig, og følgelig bør avvises som kjent teknikk, av følgende grunner:
NY ERKLÆRING FRA HANS HOPPER
Patenthaver har innhentet og vedlegger en ny erklæring fra Hans Hopper. I denne erklæringen
gir Hopper en detaljert redegjørelse for betingelsene i oljeindustrien i den aktuelle perioden,
og av den involverte teknikken. I argumentasjonen nedenfor vises det til denne erklæringen.r.
