CONSIDERAŢII ASUPRA DEZVOLTĂRII DURABILE A ROMÂNIEI ÎN CONTEXTUL
INTEGRĂRII ECONOMICE EUROPENE

In the post - December transition of Romania, a clear objective of
external politics crystallised the European economic integration.
The arguments of this opinion, of European economic integration, are
done, on the one hand, by the global tendency of globalisation and regionalism,
and, on the other hand, by the need of Romania for security, which can be found
out as member of European Union.
The obvious advantages of European economic integration of our
country can be achieved by a series of measures that aim, especially, to increase
the efficiency of economic, social, political and cultural management. Although
these, we don’t have to consider the European integration as a goal, because this
is only the way of achieving the economic welfare and prosperity of Romanian
people.
But the integration obliges us to recover the lost time, imposing a
sustained rhythm of economic growth. This fact involves big risks on the
environment, and that is the reason what for the development models suggested
must, also, consider this aspect.
The most actual development model and which is considered the
solution for present problems is the durable development model. The
fundamental principle of durable development is considered the equity, meaning
both the equity inside the same generation (by the fairness of distributing the
prosperity in the society), and the equity between generations. Like the European
economic integration, the durable development doesn’t have to be considered as
a goal, but as the way of improving the human life conditions.
From the two objectives, the European economic integration and the
durable development, were hold the common measures that must be taken,
underlying, also, the complementary character of these objectives.

În indefinita şi, aproape, interminabila tranziţie românească postdecembristă s-a
delimitat foarte clar, cu precădere în ultimii 8 ani, unul din obiectivele politicii externe,
devenit ulterior obiectivul întregii societăţi: integrarea economică europeană.
Pe fondul schimbărilor profunde ale sfârşitului de veac şi de mileniu, acest nou
obiectiv al politicii externe româneşti a fost dictat, în special, de două elemente:
• evoluţia economiei mondiale pe tiparele impuse de globalizare şi
regionalizare, şi
