PALACE OF ARTS
The construction of the Palace of Arts was one of the most
prominent cultural events in our country, as previously no
institution with such a complex purpose had been built.
Three institutions are housed in this facility, which is
unique in Central Europe. The centre is where the Béla
Bartók National Concert Hall is located, the side facing the
Danube is the site for the Ludwig Museum and the Festival
Theatre is housed on the other side. The configuration of
the building is determined by the interior substance, the
technical standard is of outstanding quality, by international
and not only Hungarian standards. Thanks to this it was
awarded the most prominent accolade of the Chamber of
Hungarian Architects in 2007, the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence
2006 prize. The building complex has also won the approval
of the general public, who come en masse to attend the
lectures, concerts and exhibitions held here.
PALAST DER KÜNSTE
Der Bau des Palastes der Künste war einer der
herausragendsten kulturellen Ereignisse unseres Landes, da
nie zuvor eine Institution für einen so aufwändigen Zweck
gebaut worden war. Drei Einrichtungen sind in dieser Anlage,
die in Mitteleuropa einzigartig ist, untergebracht. In der
Mitte befindet sich das Nationale Béla Bartók Konzerthaus,
seitlich, mit Blick auf die Donau, das Ludwig Museum und
auf der anderen Seite das Festspielhaus. Die Struktur des
Gebäudes wird durch die innere Substanz bestimmt, der
technische Standard ist von hervorragender Qualität, nicht
nur in Ungarn, sondern auch international gesehen. Dank
all dieser Faktoren erhielt der Palast 2007 die höchste
Auszeichnung der Ungarischen Architektenkammer, den
FIABCI Prix d’Excellence 2006 Preis. Auch die Öffentlichkeit
schätzt den Palast der Künste und besucht hier Vorlesungen,
Konzerte und Aysstellungen in großer Anzahl.
