HUNGARIAN STATE OPERA HOUSE<br />
September 24, 1884 was the long opening of the Budapest Opera House, and the great<br />
opening celebration was enhanced by the presence of Karl Franz Jozef. The awaiting crowd<br />
of the Sugár road was so excited to see the interior that they swept aside the guarding<br />
policemen and ran into the palace-like institute. Although, the name of the road has since<br />
been changed, the building is still beautiful and is a favourite of opera lovers.<br />
DIE UNGARISCHE STAATSOPER<br />
Am 27. September 1884 ist der ersehnte Moment gekommen, als in großer Feierlichkeit in der<br />
Anwesenheit von Franz Joseph I. das Budapester Opernhaus seine Tore geöffnet hat. Die neugierige<br />
Menschenmasse ist in den Palast an der Sugár út hineingestürzt, um ihn zu bewundern. Seit dem sind<br />
einige Jahre vergangen, das prächtige Gebäude erwartet aber auch heute noch die Opernliebhaber.<br />
