Für die Zukunft unserer Städte und auch der sie umgebenden
Peripherie müssen ökologische Aspekte größere Aufmerksamkeit
erhalten. Damit wir dies erreichen können, braucht es gemeinsame
Maßnahmen technologischer und politischer Natur,
die den Menschen einen Lebensstil ermöglichen, der sowohl
ihre Bedürfnisse befriedigt als auch die ökologischen Auswirkungen
berücksichtigt. Die Förderung neuer Mobilitätskonzepte
ist ein Baustein im Puzzle der zukünftigen Städte bzw. der
allgemeinen Infrastruktur. Menschen muss der Zugang zu neuen
Mobilitätsformen wie der Elektromobilität und ihr Gebrauch
einfach und schmackhaft gemacht werden.
The future of our cities and the surrounding peripheral areas
has to become more ecological. Joint measures, both technological
and political, are necessary to achieve this. These
measures should allow residents a lifestyle that satisfies their
needs while limiting the ecological consequences. Subsidizing
electromobility is piece in the puzzle of future cities and infrastructure
in general. It has to be funded as well as possible and
the access and use of these new technologies has to be made
as easy and appealing as possible.

Der Automobilsektor ist ein wesentliches Stärkefeld der steirischen
Wirtschaft und sichert über 40.000 Arbeitsplätze. Die
Zukunft der Mobilität ist daher ein Leitthema in der Wirtschaftsstrategie
Steiermark 2020, mit der wir im Wirtschaftsressort
„Wachstum durch Innovation“ unterstützen. Sowohl steirische
Leitbetriebe wie AVL und Magna als auch KMU aus dem Zulieferbereich
sind international führend bei der Entwicklung von
alternativen Antriebssystemen. Ich unterstütze die e-mobilityconference
gerne, weil sie eine ideale Plattform ist, um die Innovationen
made in Styria zu präsentieren. Ich wünsche den
Veranstaltern viel Erfolg und den Besucherinnen und Besuchern
spannende Vorträge.
As the source of over 40,000 jobs, the automotive sector is one
of the mainstays of the Styrian economy. Therefore the future
of mobility is a guiding theme in Styria 2020 economic strategy,
which we support with the State Council’s “Growth Through
Innovation” program. Model Styrian companies such as AVL
and Magna as well as SMEs from the supply sector are international
leaders in the development of alternative fuel systems. I
am glad to support the E-Mobility Conference because it is an
ideal platform for the presentation of innovations made in Styria.
I wish the organizers a lot of success and hope our visitors
will enjoy the interesting lectures.

E-Mobility lautet das Stichwort. Es muss allerdings auch klar
sein, dass im Anwendungsbereich der Fokus im städtischen
Bereich liegt und im Massensegment die Elektrifizierung – zumindest
vorerst – von Hybrid- bzw. Range-Extender-Lösungen
dominiert wird. Darüber hinaus müssen wir ein transparentes
Infrastrukturangebot aufbauen, speziell was die Erreichbarkeit
von E-Tankstellen betrifft. Die WKO Steiermark unterstützt
sämtliche Bemühungen aktiv, um der E-Mobilität zu noch stärkerer
Akzeptanz zu verhelfen.
E-Mobility is the keyword. However, it also has to be clear that
the focus of its applications lies in the urban sector and electrification
in the mass segment is dominated by hybrid and range
extender solutions – at least for the time being. We have
to create a transparent infrastructure spectrum, especially with
regard to the accessibility of electrical charging stations. The Styrian
Chamber of Commerce actively supports all efforts in this
respect to help e-mobility achieve greater acceptance.

moderne Form der individuellen Mobilität, sondern auch eine
Herausforderung für die heimische Wirtschaft. Mit innovativer
Spitzentechnologie und mit neuen Energie- und Mobilitätskonzepten
kann sich damit unsere Heimat am internationalen Markt
erfolgreich als dynamischer Wirtschaftsstandort profilieren.
Electromobility isn’t only a chance for new, modern form of
individual mobility, it is also a challenge for the Austrian economy.
Pioneering innovative and new energy and mobility
concepts can help our country successfully position itself as a
dynamic business location.

Die Holding Graz nimmt bereits seit einiger Zeit in den Bereichen
E-Mobilität und alternativer Antriebstechnologien
eine Vorreiterrolle im regionalen Markt ein. Unser Fuhrpark
wird zunehmend auf E-Fahrzeuge umgestellt und ist die
e-mobility Graz GmbH als Betreiberin des Projekts „Graz Bike“ initiativ,
das u. a. über 200 Leihräder an 13 Standorten in Graz zur
Verfügung stellt. Testbetriebe von Hybrid- und Elektrobussen, die
aus den eigenen Fotovoltaik-Anlagen gespeist werden, bringen
zusätzlich wertvolle Erfahrungen.
Holding Graz has assumed a pioneering role in e-mobility and
alternative fuel technologies in the regional market. Our car park
now consists of e-vehicles and e-mobility Graz GmbH operates
the „Graz Bike” project initiative, which has made over 200 rental
bikes available at 13 locations in Graz. The trials with hybrid and
electric buses that are powered from our own solar panels have
also helped gather additional valuable experience.

E-Mobilität ist auch I-Mobilität, also intelligente Mobilität, die mittels
kombinierter Mobilitätsprodukte die Antwort auf die unterschiedlichen
Bedürfnisse und Wahlfreiheiten bei den Verkehrsmitteln
der NutzerInnen bietet. Dazu müssen im Gleichschritt auch die
Kommunikationsnetze dafür ausgebaut werden, denn Voraussetzung
für moderne multimodale Mobilität ist vernetzte Mobilität.
E-Mobility is equal to I-Mobility, meaning intelligent mobility
that provides an answer to different user needs and a freedom
of choice between means of transportation by offering mobility
products that can be combined as required. At the same time
communication networks have to developed, since mobility
networks are a prerequisite for modern, multi-modal mobility.
