renger: AMG puts a tremendous amount of work into achieving that. Our<br />
sports suspension has a different front axle, a reinforced rear axle, a wider<br />
track and more negative camber all round. And that comes at a price, of course<br />
– also in terms of comfort: for our customers, the dynamic performance is<br />
definitely the priority. I see that time and time again in our AMG Driving<br />
Academy training sessions.<br />
Müller: But your events aren’t just about tearing hell for leather round<br />
the race circuit either.<br />
renger: No, not at all. Apart from the enjoyment of sporty driving, our<br />
main focus is on precision. You don’t necessarily achieve the fastest lap times<br />
with highest revs and smoking tyres. It’s also possible to do so with far lower<br />
fuel consumption – as more than one participant has discovered to their<br />
surprise.<br />
Müller: Our aim is also to teach confident and safe handling of the vehicle.<br />
And our drivers get to discover for themselves the additional support provided<br />
by the various driving assistance systems –now available in the C Coupé.<br />
Not only our cars get safer all the time, but the drivers as well after taking<br />
our courses.<br />
renger: Yes, that’s a point where <strong>Mercedes</strong>-<strong>Benz</strong> and <strong>Mercedes</strong>-AMG share<br />
