TFG TransfrachtThe terminal’s catchment areain Germany extends beyond theSaarland region and also takes inthe Trier and Kaiserslautern regions,the Metz and Nancy regions inFrance, and Luxembourg. Thismeans that container transportsfrom/to eastern France can nowbe offered throughout these regionsvia the three AlbatrosExpressterminals Basle, Karlsruhe andSaarbrücken. In line with thisinnovation, since January 2007TFG’s Internet presence has alsobeen available in French – includingthe booking service and pricingenquiries. Initially the AlbatrosExpress Saarbrücken operates onthree days for imports (Monday,Wednesday and Friday), and forexports (Tuesday, Thursday andSaturday). All train schedulesfeaturing the new Saarbrückenconnection are available forviewing and printing at any timeon www.transfracht.de.This focus on the further expansion ofthe AlbatrosExpress network providesTFG customers with a range ofhigh-frequency and high-capacitytransport services in the seaport hin-terland traffic in this anniversaryyear. In December 2007, TFG introduceda new corporate logo. Withthis new logo, the company wants toexpress the recent positive developmentin its presence as well.TFG introduces Dispocenter atwww.transfracht.deSince the end of January, TFGcustomers have been able to usethe new Dispocenter at the bookingplatform www.transfracht.de.The Dispocenter provides an onlineoverview of the status of containerbookings and transports in progressaround the clock. It lets customerssee at a glance if a specific bookingis missing some order information,such as a customs registration number,and where a container is locatedat present. The Dispocenter isavailable on the TFG web site inthree language versions: German,English and French.The TFG Dispocenter represents anextension of the existing onlinebooking centre, which was used toplace orders for more than 150,000container transports in the year2007. All entries in the bookingcentre – such as orders recordedand changes to bookings – areautomatically transferred to thenew Dispocenter. Orders alreadytransmitted are displayed in formof a list, showing the currentstatus of each container.In addition to using the standard listsprovided, the TFG Dispocenterallows customers to create theirown lists, allowing them to displayand track their orders individually.A reminder function can inform customersautomatically about missingcustoms registration numbers orexemption codes by e-mail.This ensures that all order data isavailable in time, before the transportcommences.In the further development of theDispocenter, it is envisaged thatsigned job orders in PDF formatwill be provided on the Internet infuture.
