Interpersonal Skills Level 1 award
This qualification in Interpersonal Skills is ideal for those working in situations where communication and one to one
interviews or interactions take place. The increased self - awareness resulting from the training enables relationship
building in a more general sense. This qualification will be appropriate for any individual wishing to progress onto
counselling related courses. Ideal for learners working in care, youth work, community work, childcare and education or
those who have an interest in developing these key skills.

Counselling skills Level 2 certificate
This qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills
and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. It will develop your counselling skills and your understanding of the
different approaches involved. You will also develop your awareness of your own self development. You will need to
possess a GCSE in English grade C/ Adult Literacy Level 2 or equivalent. You will need an informal interview before
enrolling on this course.

This short course is designed to give anyone who is not sure about counselling a view of the type of things that would be
taught on a counselling course. It takes you through what counselling is, where it is used, some of the skills needed to be
a counsellor and an insight into the type of theory that is taught. It is useful for anyone wishing to gain some ideas about
whether or not they feel counsellor training would benefit them.
