Bowling/indoor bowls Centre Group name Day Time Information Failsworth Indoor Bowls (Townswomen’s Guild) group Failsworth Indoor Bowls group Bridge Wed 6-8pm Short mat bowling. All members must belong to the Townswomen’s Guild. Another group bowl with us who are not Guild members. Any new members could join that group if they are not in the Guild. Coldhurst Bridge group Mon 7-9.30pm We play bridge and are constantly looking for new members. Shaw Centre Bridge group Tues 7-9.45pm New members are welcome. Failsworth Failsworth Bridge club Tues 7-10pm We play basic ACOL rubber bridge and Chicago bridge. New members are welcome. Coldhurst Bridge group Wed 1-3.30pm We play duplicate bridge. Camera/photography Centre Group name Day Time Information Oldham Centre Focal Point Thur 7.30-9.30pm Focal Point is a group of amateur photographers who meet to discuss one another’s photographic images. All aspects of photography are important to us and in this regard we view ourselves as a teaching and learning group. Photographic sessions are held at Oldham Centre and in various urban and rural locations during the course of the year. New members are welcome. Dance Centre Group name Day Time Information Oldham Centre English country dancing Mon 1.30-3.30pm Join our small, friendly and enthusiastic group. No partner needed. Age no barrier. New members are welcome. Shaw Centre Dance Fitness Group Tues 10-11am A fitness class with dance moves suitable for beginner to improver level. New members welcome. Shaw Centre Phoenix Dance Wed 7-9.45pm Ballroom dancing – must be experienced. New members welcome. 66 If your course fee is £60 or more you can pay in 3 equal monthly instalments

Gardening beginners or those with some knowledge can learn techniques and tips and solve their garden problems in an informal and friendly atmosphere. New members are welcome. Tues 7.30-10pm Monthly meeting with a speaker, usually the first Tuesday of the month. Members are encouraged to attend various subsections during the month. New members are welcome. Centre Group name Day Time Information Shaw Centre Keep fit – movement to music Wed 9.45-10.45 Keep fit /movement to music, to increase flexibility and stamina. New members welcome. Failsworth Centre Keep Fit over 50s Mon 10-11am Aerobics class for age 50+. We have 30-40 minutes of gentle aerobics followed by 20- 30 minutes of toning exercises using a mat or chair. Suitable for everyone. Alternatives given to accommodate everyone’s needs. New members are welcome. Knitting/machine knitting Centre Group name Day Time Information Oldham Centre Knit, crochet and chatter Oakbank Machine Knitting Group Languages Tues 1-3pm New members welcome at all levels from absolute beginners to the more experienced. Woolly ideas and free thinkers welcome. Fri 10-12noon Help, advice and tuition if needed on machine knitting and ribber work. Make garments that look good and fit well. There is currently a waiting list for new members.
