The church, which is old and decaying, is gradually being restored troughout the film. As the restoration progresses, the seasons pass and the animal’s life in and around the old church changes. Central to the film is the story of an owl and her two young living in the church. At the closing of the film the restored church is opened festively. bben az animációs filmben egy állat életének megkapó története Erajzolódik ki négy évszakon át egy öreg gótikus templom falain belül. Az öreg, pusztuló templom a film során restaurációs munkálatokon esik át. Ahogy a restauráció elõrehaladtával múlnak az évszakok, úgy változik a bagoly élete is. A film ugyanakkor a Homo Sapiens életét is bemutatja – madártávlatból. Mikael KRISTERSSON • Was born in 1947 and started filming, as an amateur, in his early teens. His first documentary for television, about an island nature-reserve in the southern Baltic, was shown on Swedish TV in 1973. From 1973 to 1975 he studied film at the Dramatic Institute in Stockholm. Since then he has worked with film, as a full-maker on documentaries for TV and other institutions. Pica Pica is Mikael Kristersson’s best known film. This featurelenght documentary was chosen „Surprise of the year” at Cinema du Reel in Paris 1987. „PICA PICA” is ostensibly a film about magpies in Vällingby, one of Stockholm’s suburbs, but it is just as much a film about people seen from a magpie perspective. It can also be seen as an „alternative” wildlife film, following a common-place bird in a „civilised environment”. The film is without commentary, allowing the viewer full freedom to see, to think and to image. Mikael Kristersson is his own cameraman and he has developed a personal pictorial style in which long uninterrupted lyrical sequences often give the viewer the feeling of „being there”. This impression of immediacy is heightened by avoiding commentary telling us what we can see. In Carl G Johanssons, portrait of a vagabond, the subject of the film gives his view of life, in his way and in his own rythm. Currently Mikael Kristersson is working on a feature-length documentary about light, time, space and man. Its working title is „LIGHTYEARS”. 1947-ben született, tizenévesen már amatõr filmeket készített. Elsõ TVs dokumentumfilmjét, ami egy természetvédelmi szigetrõl szól a déli Balti tengeren, 1973-ban mutatta be a Svéd TV. 1973–1975 közt a Stockholmi Dráma Intézetben tanult. Dokumentumfilmeket készít TV csatornák és más intézmények számára. Legismertebb filmje a „PICA, PICA” 1987ben a párizsi mozifesztiválon elnyerte az „Év meglepetése” címet. Mikael egyben a saját operatõre is. Saját egyéni stílust fejlesztett ki, melyben a hosszú megbontatlan lírai felvételek azt az érzést váltják ki a nézõben, mintha maga is a helyszínen lenne. Jelenleg egy hosszú dokumentumfilmen dolgozik mely a fényrõl, az idõrõl, az rrõl és az emberrõl szól „FÉNYÉVEK” címmel.

Since 1993, he has created over a dozen works that have drawn wide attention, including such films as The Sun Tribe, Baoshan Village, Old Man Wang and His Sons and Daughters, Empty Mountain, and A Cinema on Back. In this world, there are not complex manipulations of all kinds, but direct and simple feelings and expressions. Music is the source of his happiness. Zhouzhou’s father is a musician in the Wuhan Symphony Orchestra. Zhouzhou often plays in the orchestra and in the groups of Peking Opera and Western Drama. He enjoys himself in the world of music and art. Touring with the groups, Zhouzhou joins them in every performance; off the stage, Zhouzhou is as serious about the performance as the performers on the stage. Zhouzhou is not only a member of the groups but also a joy to everyone. Among these artistic groups, the symphony orchestra is Zhouzhou’s favorite. The beautiful classical music makes him forget the stomachache and relieves the boredom. When he hears Carmen, his favorite tune, he is the king of his musical world.
