Radical in its realism with the meticulous portrayal of one man’s
blunted cruelty to humans and animals and of the agonizing death
throes of the captured dogs.

Irakli PANIASHVILI • born in 1968 in Tbilisi. In 1985 entered the
actor department at the Tbilisi State Theatrical Institute of Drama
and Cinema. In 1987–88 served in the Soviet Army. In 1989 continued
my study at the Institute. Simultaneously entered the secondary
department of cinema at the Tbilisi State University. In 1992–94 invited
to work at one the three dramatic
theatres in Tbilisi. In 1996 entered the
Higher Courses of Film Directors at the
Tbilisi Television and Radio Institute.
1968-ban született Tbilisiben. 1987–88
között a szovjet hadseregben szolgált. A
Tbilisi Állami Egyetemen drámát és
filmm vészetet, majd a Tbilisi Televízió
és Rádió Intézetben filmrendezést tanult,
miközben három drámai színházban
is dolgozott.

„P
olice investigations” is a series portraying a real police investigator
confronted with a real criminal case. No romance. No
actors. No „reality television style” story either. But, the daily life of
a man of law in charge of a criminal investigation in his long, hard
„search for the truth”.
On February 6, 1995, the police radio of Abidjan (Ivory Coast) broadcasted
a message about 2 holdups followed by a murder. The victim
turned out to be a police officer off duty. Superintendant Kouassi,
39, a law graduate was in charge of the case.
We filmed his criminal investigation for 4 months.

hosszú, nehéz mindennapjai.
1995. február 6-án az abidjani rendõrségi rádió két gyilkossággal
végzõdõ feltartóztatásról adott hírt. Az egyik áldozat egy szolgálaton
kívüli rendõr volt. Kouassit, a 39 éves jogot végzett felügyelõt bízták
meg az ügy nyomozásával.
4 hónapig követtük kameránkkal a nyomozást.
