QUALITY OF THERMO-MINERAL<br />

WATER OF BANJSKA<br />

Mineral water of Banjska is the subject<br />

of extensive interest in 100 years for it<br />

can be chemically analyzed and determined<br />

based on its basic balneology properties.<br />

According to the results of chemical<br />

analysis made by V. J. Rešovske Nikolaevich<br />

(1921), the main component is<br />

calcium bicarbonate, while the amount of<br />

free carbonic acid was not determined.<br />

Therefore it is in order of indifferent<br />

hipertherma with characteristics of weak<br />

alkaline acidic water [3].<br />

According to the results of chemical<br />

analysis Vajića B. (1929), this water is<br />

carbonate (alkaline, alkaline-natural),<br />

muriate, sulphate, hot 43-47 0 C [10].<br />

According to the results of chemical<br />

analysis of V. Protic (1995), mineral water<br />

is HCO3-Na type, the total minerali<strong>za</strong>tion<br />

1.36 g / l, pH 6.7. The content of HCO3<br />

was 806.00 mg/l and Na was 300.00 mg/l.<br />
