according to Samuel Hermansson, Techking not only works on efficient tire concepts<br />
along the requirements of fuel efficiency <strong>and</strong> long machine life, but also on own tire<br />
control systems with internet connection. Furthermore Techking develops short-term<br />
special solutions <strong>for</strong> specific applications, together with <strong>and</strong> <strong>for</strong> costumers of the EM<br />
<strong>and</strong> industry sector.<br />
According to its president Luo Guobing, Liugong also massively invests in longterm<br />
development, in close collaboration with Chinese universities <strong>and</strong> international<br />
industry partners. This process follows enormous innovative dynamics <strong>and</strong> benefits<br />
from a grow-ing pool of highly qualified experts <strong>and</strong> product-specific transfer of<br />
know-how. The clear message is: Chinese products will not only establish themselves<br />
because of their price, but through quality.<br />
Dump Truck 2.0<br />
In presenting the <strong>new</strong> ETF mining trucks, Eddie de Jong, CEO of the European Truck<br />
Factory (ETF), demonstrated how it is possible to bring together the lines of this year’s<br />
CEWEF conference through product innovation.<br />
Modularly built transport vehicles are meant to revolutionalize the raw material<br />
transport above 80 tons net load in open cast mines. Model programs with four<br />
per<strong>for</strong>mance classes up to 218 tons of net load <strong>and</strong> combined total per<strong>for</strong>mances<br />
in traction mode up to 800 tons with only one driver, promise <strong>new</strong> dimensions with<br />
regard to operational management <strong>and</strong> cost effectiveness. An all-encompassing<br />
electronic vehicle management not only releases the driver, but to a certain extent<br />
attends to itself. Entirely exchangeable integrated modules in the engine <strong>and</strong> gear are<br />
also meant to minimize the downtime.<br />
The ETF concept is not only characterized by a complete turning away from the <strong>rig</strong>id<br />
two-axle dump trucks with conventional motor-gear-technique or diesel-electronic<br />
two-axle dump trucks. With the exclusive marketing as a long-lasting leasing model<br />
with comprehensive local service <strong>and</strong> availability guarantee, the manufacturer takes<br />
a <strong>new</strong> line. The first production models of ETF mining trucks will be presented in<br />
March next year.<br />
