Frawardin take no oath, and on that day sacrifice to the Farohars (departed spirits) of the blessed so that<br />

they may be the better pleased.” Adarbad Mahraspandan was a famous saint, high priest, and prime<br />

minister of Shapur II (309-379 C.E.).<br />
