and founder of the “Back to Africa” movement. As a Jamaican politician, Marcus Garvey played an<br />

important role in the development of Black rights.<br />

gahambars). The gahanbars date back to the pre-Zoroastrian agricultural people of the Iranian Plateau<br />

and mark the changing of the agricultural seasons. The gahanbars were absorbed into Zoroastrianism as<br />

religious holy days and are celebrated with feasting and fun.<br />
