The day of Day-pa-Adar celebrates the Av. Dadvah, the Creator’s day before Adar. Special prayers<br />

from the Khorda Avesta are recited in honor of the day’s spiritual being.<br />

Activity for the day from the Counsels of Adhurbadh, Son of Mahraspand: “(126) On the day of<br />

Day-pa-Adar wash your head and trim your hair and nails.” Adarbad Mahraspandan was a famous<br />

saint, high priest, and prime minister of Shapur II (309-379 C.E.).<br />
