Description:
An annual or perennial herb or under shrub 25-50 cm tall having prickle or spiny
structure at the base of the leaf. Flowers small and pale yellow, fruit partially
enclosed in calyx, mericarps 5, each with an awn.
Flowering Period:
June to October.
Habitat:
Comm only found in waste grounds, cultivated fields
and roadside.
Distribution:
Tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. In
Pakistan the species only reported for Sindh.
