A perennial semi-aquatic herb with dark green colour, about 20-40 cm in height.
Stem green soft and cylindrica. Flowers in terminal spikes, brown in
colour, conical.

June.
Habitat:
The plant usually found along river shores, wet meadows
in partially shady places.
Uses:
Grazed by livestock.
Distribution:
Eastern Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
