Description:
A decumbent, glabrous somewhat fleshy herb, branched from the base, erect or spreading
about 30 cm long. Stem densely leafy. Leaves smooth. Flowers bi-labiate, light purple with
yellow palate axillary sub-sessile. Fruit spherical capsule with typically unequal chambers.
Flowering Period:
Most part of the year.
Habitat:
Grows on stony and sandy grounds.
Uses:
Powdered herb is snuffed in nose bleeding. Fruit, leaves and
stem are prescribed in typhoid fever. The leaves are useful
for the cure of diabetes.
Distribution:
Pakistan, India andAfghanistan.
