An annual or short-lived perennial geniculately erect grass, loosely tufted, with 4-6
nodes flowering stem up to 60 cm high.
Flowering Period:
April to June.
Habitat:
This grass is found in desert areas and sometimes on limestone.
Uses:
Good fodder grass.
Distribution:
Pakistan (Sindh, Punjab); Tropical Africa, eastwards to
India and Southwards to Rhodesia and Angola.
