Kiel & Bändel (2001 : 1 51 ). Rotella Lamarck,
1822, is an objective synonym of Umbonium,
and was listed in its synonymy by H. Adams
& A. Adams when they established Umboniinae.
Although Umboniinae was not explicitly
introduced as a substitute name for Rotelli-
nae, it is now in prevailing usage and is conserved
under Art. 40.2 with precedence from
Rotellinae.
