only. Diagnosed by Wenz (1939 [in 1938-
1944]: 486). Wenz treated Strophostoma
Deshayes, 1 828, as a junior synonym of Fer-
ussina, and Ferussininae is implicitly a substitute
name for Strophostomatidae.
Ferussininae is conserved under Art. 40.2 with
the precedence from Strophostomatidae.
