In accordance with <strong>the</strong> chivalric traditi<strong>on</strong>, after meeting ano<strong>the</strong>r lady who helps him in<br />

his quest, he fights knights <strong>and</strong> a giant, liberates <strong>the</strong> requested items from King Arthur's<br />

court, <strong>and</strong> returns to his beloved with <strong>the</strong> hawk, <strong>the</strong> dogs, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> rules <strong>of</strong> love.<br />

relati<strong>on</strong>ship has a fin' amors feudal c<strong>on</strong>notati<strong>on</strong>, or when love as a hunt becomes<br />

eroticized ra<strong>the</strong>r than expressed as spiritual or transcendant. Unless, <strong>of</strong> course, <strong>the</strong> poet<br />
