7. ColIetotrichum godetiae Neerg. In two previous papers
I deseribed and named Colletotrichum qodetioe (N e e r g a a r d
1943), and gave some details on infection experiments performed
.with this Godetia pathogen and some other fungus species frequently
eneountered on Godetia hybrida attaeked by stem rot
(N e e r g a a r d 1945). As yet I have not fulfilled a promise of
giving a Latin diagnosis on this fungus.
L a t i n d i a g n o s i s. Colletotrichum godetiae Neerg. 1943.
Aeervulis in caulibus, eonidiophoris hyalinis, filiformis, 20-30p 1.,
2 p er. Conidiis hyalinis - in massis visis roseis - cylindraceis,
guttulatis, 15-21 p 1., 4--6 p er. Setis, quae saepe desunt, fusels,
septatis, 60-120p 1., 3p er. H ab. Parasitice in Godetia hybrida
in Dania.
Typus in Kg1. Veterinær- & Landbohøjskole, Plantepatologisk
Laboratorium, Hafnia, Dania, eultura ex typo in Centraalbureau
voor Sehimmeleultures, Baarn, Hollandia, depos.
The fungus is seed-borne - in June 1943 it was isolated from
a Danish seed lot from the erop of 1942.
