in the diagnosis of P. dianthicola. The variation of this species is,
however, not dealt with in the original diagnosis, and furthermore
the fungus may vary from one locality to another. I am therefore
inclined tentatively to refer the Danish Peronospora to P. dianthicola.
SUMMARY
Mycological Notes III
7. A Latin diagnosis is given of Colletotrichum godetiae Neerg.
(name and Danish diagnosis 1943), a rather common parasite on
Godetia hybrida in Denmark.
8. A Latin diagnosis is given of Pho ma bellidis Neerg. (Danish
diagnosis 1941 , name 1945), frequently encountered on seeds of
Bellis perennis fl. pl. grown in Denmark, Holland and Italy (s ee
Table 1).
9. Zygosporium parasit icwm. (Grove) Bunting & Mason has been
recorded for the first time in Denmark, isolated from a wooden vat
containing apple pulp. A description of the fungus is given, based
on the examination of the development of the fungus followed in
Bcttcher-chambers (see Fig. 1).
10. Peronospora dianthicola Barthelet. A Peronospora species
tentatively identified with this species has been recorded on seedlings
of Dianthus caryophyllus fl. pl. in Denmark.
