Other food related souvenirs sold at tourism establishments <strong>in</strong>clude dried fish and<br />

related products available at two resorts (16.7%). <strong>Local</strong> snacks are also available at two<br />

resorts (16.7%). <strong>Local</strong> snacks <strong>in</strong>clude packets <strong>of</strong> dry fish chips, fried breadfruit, taro and<br />

different short eats. <strong>The</strong>y are produced on a small scale by households and small<br />

companies. <strong>The</strong> production <strong>of</strong> snacks complies with the General <strong>Food</strong> Regulation <strong>of</strong> the<br />

M<strong>in</strong>istry <strong>of</strong> Health (M<strong>in</strong>istry <strong>of</strong> Health, 2009) and M<strong>in</strong>istry <strong>of</strong> Trade and Industries.<br />

Hence the quality <strong>of</strong> these products is ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed at a certa<strong>in</strong> standard, which also<br />

expla<strong>in</strong>s the reason for the positive response for the ability to obta<strong>in</strong> the right quality <strong>of</strong><br />

products from snacks suppliers.<br />

All the 12 operators who participated <strong>in</strong> the survey <strong>of</strong> this research provided outdoor<br />

activities for tourists. Out <strong>of</strong> these, all except one bus<strong>in</strong>ess (n=11 or 91.7%) said that the<br />
