Deeper Mysteries - Twists<br />
Effect: The character’s head can extend on a long, muscled<br />
neck. It takes a 5 REA Medium action to “extend the neck” and<br />
it can be used to grapple, look around corners, or bite thereafter.<br />
The character’s Size Class determines how far the snake-like<br />
neck can reach, how strong it is, and how easy it is to hit in HTH<br />
(range/HTH combat). This TBH modifier is used instead of AGI<br />
Bonus. If the character is VS or S, this ability costs 1pt and<br />
essentially allows the character to see around corners.<br />
Any bite attack can be used at Reach range (like a snake<br />
striking). The neck must be extended for a 5 REA action first.<br />
As a downside, any bladed attack that hits by +6 or better can, if<br />
it penetrates, triple instead of just doubling.<br />
Constriction: If the character has someone in a Grapple or Hold<br />
they can crush for 5 REA (and can do this as often as they have<br />
REA). This does normal HTH damage with a damage modifier<br />
based on how well they have the target Held.<br />
Any bite attack can be used at Long-reach range (like a snake<br />
striking). The neck must be extended for a 5 REA action first.<br />

Skeletal Cost 4<br />
Trait: You have an internal sense of loss or lack that pervades<br />
your life. It may not be obvious—you might not even be fully<br />
aware of it—but there is something important in your life you<br />
feel you aren’t getting. An example could be obsession over the<br />
loss of a loved one.<br />
Effect: You appear as a skeleton or a skeletal figure. Usually you<br />
are just incredibly thin. In some cases you may actually have<br />
bones showing.<br />
You are somewhat fragile: Impact attacks from blunt weapons<br />
or blows (not bullets) get a +4 Damage Modifier.<br />
You are difficult to hit. You get a 4pt AGI Bonus or +1 to your<br />
AGI Bonus, whichever is better (this stacks with other things<br />
that improve or replace AGI bonus).<br />
You have a Mass of 1 (BLD treated as 5).<br />
You can suck the life force out of someone. Your Grab or Grapple<br />
happens at +[X] Strength (taken from the size table below) and<br />
once you have grabbed, you can, for 5 REA, drain life. This<br />
replenishes your Damage Points. The life drain is [Ypts] taken<br />
from the chart and half of what you drain is added to your<br />
damage points. The Damage Mod roll is based on how good<br />
your hold is:<br />

Trait: You have a distrust of authority and may well have had<br />
problems with the police.<br />
Effect: You can sort of teleport. You can’t go any place you<br />
couldn’t walk to but you can go instantly. This will move you<br />
up to 100 yards with an 8 REA Long Action. Visually you<br />
may appear to be sort of elongated and sucked over to the new<br />
location! You can go through doors that aren’t locked but have to<br />
stop at doors that are. You have to be able to see your destination<br />
but you can go “right through a door” (and will stop at it if it<br />
turns out to be locked).<br />
Slippery Cost 4<br />
Trait: You tend to bend the truth. You are interested in “getting<br />
away” with things. You tend to be irresponsible.
