According to the U.S. EPA, the government of Guinea (Conakry)<br />

rejected a similar proposal by Export Waste Management in early<br />

Obsolete Pesticides: In Congo there are 2 tonnes of obsolete pesticides (methyl<br />

bromide, a highly toxic substance and ozone depleter) of<br />

locations.<br />

Companies identified are: Dupont, Mitsui, Sumitomo. 61<br />

But Dr. Dany M. Kankonda of the “Direction des<br />

Etablissements Humains et Protection de l’Environnement”<br />

(DEH-PE) who is also the Focal Point for the Basel Convention<br />

in the country said there were no stocks stemming from US<br />
