Check Dil level in sump and gearbox.<br />
Check cooling water circulation.<br />
Check lubricating oil pressure.<br />
Check water level in header tank of heat<br />
exchanger when fitted.<br />
EVERY 50 HOURS<br />
Clean gearbox oil filter (hydraulic type gearbo~<br />
only).<br />
Check. and if necessary. top up batteries with<br />
distilled water.<br />
EVERY 100 HOURS<br />
Check oil level in reduction gearbox where<br />
fitted.<br />
Lubricate and examine adjustment of single<br />
lever throttle control (if fitted).<br />
Clean pre-filter if fitted to lift pump.<br />
Check oil fi(lw to rocker shaft.<br />
Examine valve springs and check tappets.<br />
Examine and clean water inlet weed trap and<br />
<strong>L4</strong> MARINE ENGINES<br />
strainer (when fitted).<br />
Examine engine holding down balts.<br />
Drain oil trom sump and fill with new lubricatlt.<br />
Clean feIt element in lubricating oil filter.<br />
Unscrew drain plug on final fuel filter. replace<br />
.vhen clean fuel appears.<br />
EVERY 500 HOURS<br />
Clean and check atomisers.<br />
Renew feIt element in lubricating oil filter.<br />
Clean gauze trap in Jubricating filter body.<br />
EVERY 1,000 HOURS<br />
When fitted. examine heat exchanger fur scale<br />
formation and de-scaJe if necessary.<br />
Inspect commutators and brushes of dynamo<br />
and starter motor.<br />
Renew element in Final Fuel Filter.<br />
Whenever Engine is removed nom Boat.<br />
Clean sump strainer.<br />
Clean out fuel tank.<br />
