9. Nearly allied to A. Wulkeri, but <strong>the</strong> abdomen ochreous, <strong>with</strong> a broad<br />

terminal black band ; anus fringed <strong>with</strong> ochreous. hairs ; spots towards<br />

apex <strong>of</strong> primaries c<strong>on</strong>nected, forming a large reniform spot, as in A.<br />

fulvida ; sec<strong>on</strong>daries sometimes <strong>with</strong>out <strong>the</strong> subcostal black dash :<br />

expanse <strong>of</strong> wings 25 to 27 millims.<br />

North India (James). Type, B.M.<br />

The type <strong>of</strong> this specics bears a label in Mr. Walker’s haudwriting<br />

<strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> name “Hiilncri ” inscribed <strong>the</strong>re<strong>on</strong> ; <strong>the</strong> descripti<strong>on</strong><br />

(in Lep. Het.) does not, hoxever, quite agree <strong>with</strong> it. A.<br />

c<strong>on</strong>f;rea is very like A. hainann.<br />

<strong>the</strong> first median branch ; a metallic dot at <strong>the</strong> base ; sec<strong>on</strong>daries <strong>with</strong><br />

a large hyaline-white spot <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> abdominal area : body below dark<br />

green, <strong>with</strong> a latcrnl row <strong>of</strong> metallic green dots terminating as above<br />

in a carmine dot : wings dark sbiuing green, fringe purple ; primarie3<br />

<strong>with</strong> bnsal half purplish browu : sec<strong>on</strong>daries <strong>with</strong> two snbcostal
