Head, collar, and antennae black, two Clark blue metallic spots <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
back <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> had and two <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> collar; pterygodes black, <strong>with</strong> al<strong>on</strong>-<br />
gitudinal yellow strenk ; thorax black, a dark blue spot <strong>on</strong> centre <strong>of</strong><br />
hinder part <strong>of</strong> thorax ; basal segment <strong>of</strong> ahdomen blnck, <strong>with</strong> its hind<br />
margin orange, and <strong>on</strong> each side a blue spot; glandular drums<br />
orange; <strong>the</strong> sec<strong>on</strong>d to fourth segments scarlet, <strong>the</strong> 6fth to seventh<br />
blnck, all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m <strong>with</strong> a pearly opaline spot <strong>on</strong> each side: wings<br />
yellowish testaceow, veins (excepting <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> borders <strong>of</strong> dark spots)<br />
and all <strong>the</strong> margins (excepting where interrupted by dark patches)<br />
yellow ; primaries <strong>with</strong> a large subquadrate jet-black spot at end <strong>of</strong><br />
cell enclosing two metallic darh blue spots, apex broadly, aud exter-<br />
nal angle less broadly dark brown ; tiec<strong>on</strong>dariea <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> apex, outer<br />
margin, and anal angle dark brown : palpi yellow, tipped <strong>with</strong> black ;<br />
pectus brown ; legs yellow, <strong>the</strong> tibise brown above and irrorated <strong>with</strong><br />
metallic-blue scales ; venter yellow, scarlet at <strong>the</strong> sides, <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> last<br />
two segments dark brown : expanse <strong>of</strong> wings 34 millims.<br />
