Head ornngc; antennae black, tipped <strong>with</strong> white ; collar orange, <strong>with</strong> a<br />

slender black edge ; pterygotlcs orange, edged <strong>with</strong> black ; tliorax<br />

hlack-brown, <strong>with</strong> a broad, central, l<strong>on</strong>gitudinal, orange streak, two<br />

dots in fr<strong>on</strong>t, and two spots behind <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> same colour; first four<br />

segments <strong>of</strong> abdomen golden yellow, <strong>the</strong> last three dark metallic blue ;<br />

a well-defined, central, l<strong>on</strong>gitudinal, stripe, a narrower, irregular,<br />

lateral line, and transverse bars <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> anterior margins <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> seg-<br />

ments all black, <strong>the</strong> first two or three shining (when die head faces<br />

<strong>the</strong> light) <strong>with</strong> a br<strong>on</strong>zy-opaline lustre ; wings testaceous hyaline ;<br />

primaries <strong>with</strong> <strong>the</strong> base <strong>of</strong> costa black, <strong>with</strong> a white spot, interno-basal<br />

area orange, reins <strong>of</strong> bad area black, apical two fifths black enclo-<br />

sing a large subquadrate quinquefid hyaline spot; sec<strong>on</strong>daries <strong>with</strong><br />

abdominal and basicostal areas golden yellow, a triangnlar spot at<br />

end <strong>of</strong> cell and <strong>the</strong> apical half <strong>of</strong> costa black, outer margin black,<br />

broadest at apex and anal angle ; body below dark brown ; pnlpi<br />

orange, black above and at <strong>the</strong> tips ; tibiae, proximal ends <strong>of</strong> femora,<br />

and distal extremities <strong>of</strong> tarsi yellowish orange; venter <strong>with</strong> a<br />

central transverse yellow belt : wings below as above : expanse 33<br />

millims.<br />
