This species was placed by Mr. Walker under Cal<strong>on</strong>otos : it is,<br />

ho,vvcvG:r, cleilrlp distinct from that grop, and Dr. Boisduval has<br />

cl<strong>on</strong>e well in inaking a genus for its recepti<strong>on</strong> : in <strong>the</strong> general<br />

form and colorati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> body it resemble8 Felder's genus<br />

Jomceocera.<br />

Closely resembling Cal<strong>on</strong>otos (Sectiou Spkanoptwa), but easily<br />

separated by <strong>the</strong> neuratioii <strong>of</strong> sec<strong>on</strong>daries, <strong>the</strong> two median<br />

branches not being emitted in <strong>the</strong> usual way from <strong>on</strong>e point,<br />

innsniuch as <strong>the</strong> first branch leaves <strong>the</strong> iiervure before <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> cell, also in <strong>the</strong> subcostals being placed up<strong>on</strong> a footstalk. Type<br />

branches <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> median nervure in sec<strong>on</strong>daries placed up<strong>on</strong> a<br />

l<strong>on</strong>g footetalk, and <strong>the</strong> lower discocellular receding.<br />
