System Data Item Descriptions
GLB.EXTDBSTATUS
Note: This System Data item is valid for OS 2200 based LINC Systems only.
Use this read-only System Data item in conjunction with Interdatabase access. It contains
values that indicate the status of a database access. It should be used in conjunction with
the GLB.STATUS System Data item. Valid values are shown in the following table.
GLB.STATUS GLB.EXTDBSTATUS Meaning
Spaces Spaces Access completed.
Spaces Non-spaces Access failed. This may be the case where no
GLB.STATUS is normally returned, such as the
FLAG; command.
***** Spaces Record not found.
***** DB.DIFFERENT Ispecs do not match (data definitions, Profiles,
and so on).
***** DB.DISABLED Target database disabled in the HUB Common
Bank.
***** HUB.DOWN HUB background run is not running.
***** INVAL.ISPEC The target Ispec specified by the SET.DB;
command may be non-existent in the target
system, or you have not set "Allow External
Access" on your Ispec Environmental Options
screen.
***** INVAL.TARGET Access not allowed to target system.
***** NO.DATABASE External database not found in the HUB
Common Bank.
***** NO.ENV Internal HUB error occurred when attempting to
locate the environment details for the target
system.
***** NO.TABLE Database found, but the table name is unknown.
***** NOT.LOCAL Table for this Ispec not defined in the local LINC
System database, and an external database
has not been designated by the use of a
SET.DB; command.
