System Data Item Descriptions
When the value of GLB.LINECOUNT exceeds the value of GLB.FORMDEPTH (except
when GLB.FORMDEPTH is zero), any footings are output, an advance to top-of-page
occurs, and any headings are output.
Note: When the BEGIN.PAGE; CLEAR command is executed, GLB.LINECOUNT is set
to 9999 to force the new page. Since the logic of the print frame is executed
before the advance to new page occurs, the value of GLB.LINECOUNT is 9999,
not 0.

GLB.LINEUP determines whether Report output requires stationery to be aligned before
printing commences. (The System Data item GLB.LINEUPNAME specifies a file to be used
in conjunction with this, for aligning your ROC Report output.)
GLB.LINEUP can be used for Shadow Reports, in the form GLB.LINEUPx, where x is the
one-character Shadow Report designator (A through Z).
Once output from a Report has been produced, the value of GLB.LINEUP remains until the
next RELEASE; command (or end-of-job), when the most recent change to its value is then
effective.
For Reports using the Report Output Control System (ROC), GLB.LINEUP is only valid for
non-video output.
For non-ROC Reports:
$ GLB.LINEUP is not valid for Shadow Reports.
$ GLB.LINEUP is valid for output directed to TP devices when Terminal Printer Spooler
(TPS) is used. For further details of TPS, see your MCP Based LINC Administration
and Operations Guide.
$ If Y is moved to GLB.LINEUP before output is produced, the Report is sent to backup,
and the TPS AUTO setting is ignored.
The Report is not printed until it is explicitly sent to the printer by using the TPS
POSITION command, and it must be deleted manually from the printer directory using
the TPS PURGE command.
$ A value other than Y means that no alignment is required.
$ If output is sent to a Terminal Printer with the TPS POSITION command, the printer is
automatically set to AUTO-. This enables any special stationery to be changed before
the file is printed, or removed before anything else is printed.
