interdatabase access
The accessing of the database of an OS 2200 based LINC System by another OS 2200 based
LINC System.
internal Automatic Entry
An Automatic Entry from within the same LINC System. See Automatic Entry. Contrast
with external Automatic Entry.
interrogation point
For LINC Ad Hoc Inquiry, a regular interval during query execution when the status of that
query is written to the database.
Ispec
(1) A collective term for Components and Events. (2) A contraction of the term Interface
Specification. (3)See also Component, Event.
Ispec Control Program (ICP)
The program that controls the generated Ispec subprograms in UNIX LINC Systems.
Contrast with Update Program (for MCP based LINC Systems) and Initial Control
Program (for OS 2200 based LINC Systems).

LDL Listing Utility
A facility in LINC Generate used for printing a LINC Specification.
LCOPY Utility
(1) A utility that provides a means of backing up, maintaining and controlling LINC
Specifications, on the same or different machines (and host types). (2) Formerly known as
LINC Copy.
