HEALTHCARE FACILITIES<br />
<strong><strong>Health</strong>care</strong> facilities in Thailand consist of<br />
hospitals and small-scale facilities. There are<br />
approximately 39,000 healthcare facilities of<br />
which 1,457 are hospitals. Government-owned<br />
hospitals accounts for 68% of which<br />
approximately 90 % are under the Ministry of<br />
Public <strong>Health</strong> (MoPH) and the rest 10% (102<br />
hospitals) are owned by other ministries such<br />
as Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry<br />
of Defense (MoD). Private-owned hospitals<br />
account for 32 %.<br />
Small-scale healthcare facilities are 37,659 in<br />
total. About 73% (27,363 clinics) is privateowned,<br />
while government community<br />
healthcare centers are about 27 % (10,296).<br />
