13. My Path of Reconciliation
The people who took part in this project showed great willingness in taking over the responsibility
of living a life in peace. They focused on reconciliation in their own lives.
During a certain time each person could get one’s inspiration from a painting with the theme
reconciliation. Subsequently the people captured their inspirations in words and illustrations in a
book.
Reconciliation is a path which leads to the centre of our hearts, and the fruit we reap is inner
peace. It is silent, without attracting attention and very personal. The contributions are very moving
and are characterized by deepness, strength and big heartedness.
Here are a few excerpts from the contributions:
- To keep on the path is the goal
- Who can hear the trees growing?
Who stretches his hand out to his tormentor?
Who makes the first move?
I try to begin with myself
- Reconciliation:
Courage for balance and trust in the merciful spirit
- Not to be heroes in fighting, but be heroes in forgiveness,
our victory should be Reconciliation:
- Love wants Reconciliation and Reconciliation comes from Love.
Reconciliation brings Peace and Peace leads to loving awareness
and respect to the source of all life
- Christ appeared to forgive us, Rejoice oh Christians!
- For me the path of Reconciliation with myself is one of the most
difficult things: it is not about looking at my chocolate-side. When we are
reconciled with ourselves, we can approach others with more
understanding und love.
