Altogether this approach is designed to bring about more sustainable economic systems that
work for all – the economy as a force for reconciliation. The theory and practice of Integral
Economics is then at the very heart of innovative educational and research programs that we
design to effect socio- and economic transformation on the ground. In 2010, we were invited to
implement the integral approach within the new Heliopolis University for Sustainable
Development in Egypt. A first core element of that work, finalized by December 2010, is a new
curriculum for a BSc in Sustainable Economics, Enterprise and Development (SEED). This
curriculum reconciles business, economic and development perspectives in an integral way, and
includes a transformational process, that guides students all the way from research to
innovation.
