All these choirs have the same intention: To be a choir for people of different languages and<br />

cultures, who want to improve the co-operation and live together in linguistic and cultural<br />

diversity.<br />

During the “Week of Religions” concerts “Music for Peace ll” took place at all 3 sites with a<br />

total of 158 singers from 28 nations playing music with soloists and a 30-member orchestra. The<br />

bridging to Switzerland was made by a guest choir, the “Jodlerclub Hasenmatte Selzach” and<br />

the “Jodlerclub Glärnisch in Glarus respectively.<br />

As there are 3 choirs, there are 3 contact persons, the art director and conductor for all 3 choirs,<br />

however, is Bernhard Furchner.<br />

Integration objectives:<br />

Intercultural dialogue leads to intercultural, joint action. Cultural and linguistic<br />

differences are transformed into common social and cultural experiences going beyond<br />

the usual ones. Heterogeneity is perceived as a part of life and the mutual integration<br />

process has a positive connotation.<br />
