Bangkok Insurance Public Company Limited is determined to manage its business based on the principle of good
corporate governance, with a responsibility for society. It has resolved to constantly lend support to social activities and give
importance to sustainable development that is measurable so that community people have a better quality of life and can help
themselves in the long term.
The Company’s policy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- Create awareness among the Company’s management and all levels of staff to realize the significance of conducting
themselves in a way that would benefit society, and regard it as a duty to take part in this aspect of the Company’s activities.
- Support social activities to help underprivileged people in society and those suffering from various disasters, as well as
preserving archaeological objects which are precious and are part of the historical and cultural heritage of the Thai nation.
- Allocate budgets in constant support of social activities.
- Provide educational support to underprivileged people by giving importance to the study of occupations in which
Thailand is lacking and which can significantly strengthen the country’s future development.
- Campaign for network generation for cooperation among various organizations to implement the planned project, with
an aim to fulfill objectives and expand assistances or comprehensively carry out activities covering remote and poverty-stricken
areas across the country.
In 2009, the Company participated in the following social activities.
Contributions to Foundations under Royal Patronage
- A contribution of Baht 1.8 million to the Ananda Mahidol Foundation, as scholarships for students capable of furthering
their studies to the highest level.
- A contribution of Baht 1.8 million to the Chai Pattana Foundation, to implement royal projects and help people in, for
example, education, environmental conservation, social development, etc.
- A contribution of Baht 800,000 to the “Graduates Go Home” project, as scholarships for students under royal patronage.
