The showmen will open this year's fairground season in
North-Rhine Westphalia with the Frühjahrssend from 10 th to
18 th March. This spring, the 9-day event will provide for an impressive
skyline.
Fairground Director Rölver was once again able to put together
an appealing fairground from the large number of applications
received, engaging five novelties for Münster in addition to other
well-known and successful attractions. For the first time, Michael
Goetzke’s “Rocket”, the Giant Swing “Konga” from Küchenmeister,
the “Booster Maxxx” (Hoefnagels/Denies), and Michel’s
“Domino” Funhouse will appear on the Hindenburgplatz. Moreover,
Ronny Deinert will celebrate the première of his novelty “Big
Spin” at the Frühjahrssend. Once again also to be presented will
be the cult ride “Disco Jet”, the visual appearance of which has
been enhanced by two new LED-walls on the tunnel wall. A Ferris
Wheel is a must at the Send; the “Europa-Rad” from Kipp will provide
its passengers with a fantastic view . Further fixtures among
the ride attractions at the Send will once again be the two dodgem
tracks from Heitmann and Schneider, Bonner’s large “Breakdance”,
the “Wellenflug” from Barth/Eberhard, and the “Wilde
Maus” from Barth. The funhouse and show booth sector will be
supplemented by Schneider’s “Pirates Adventure”, and according
to the owner Schütze’s Ghost Ride will present some new
creepy figures at Münster. A prominent occupancy with four highlights
and a ride height of more than 45 metres – impressive. For
the first time, there will be no family day, as due to the extended
duration of the event, its importance diminished. As is tradition,
the supporting programme will include the fireworks display on
Friday evening. Additionally there will be a Stadtwerke Day held
on Monday, and morning beer events on the Sundays during the
event. The redesign of the Hindenburgplatz is currently causing
a lot of debate once again, although this is an issue that has already
been discussed for years. We will not join in speculation,
but would rather wait for the outcome of the new round of talks. ■
