From October 22 nd to 20 th 2011, the Herbstkirmes<br />
was held in the Enschede Volkspark to which 65<br />
showmen were approved.<br />
The following attractions were available to the visitors:<br />
“Speed Flip” (Lauwers), “Beach Party” (Gijsberts), the<br />
walkthrough construction “Temple of Adventure”<br />
(Cox), “Walzer” (Cameron), the<br />
labyrinth “Mirage” (Donk), the “Wild<br />
Thing” Miami (Voer-Verstappen),<br />
“Breakdance No.1“ (Zwennes),<br />
“Mega Booster“ (Bakker-Meerveld),<br />
the “Ghost Train” ghost ride (Regter),<br />
“Beach Polyp” (Verwijk), the “Funny<br />
Mouse” family coaster (Marel), the<br />
“Mega Slide” (Poorter-Dupont),<br />
“Snow Jet” (Veen), the “Crazy Sjimmy”<br />
Cake Walk (Zande), the “Sound<br />
Factory” dodgem track (de Groot),<br />
the “Chaos” swing (Weerdt-Van Raay), and the “Vitual<br />
World” Simulator (Oudsen-Troost). Younger visitors<br />
however were able to enjoy the “Adventure Ride” kiddie<br />
Traffic Garden, the “Boothesmolen” kiddie boat ride<br />
(Eeringa), a pony ride (Trommelen), a kiddie dodgem<br />
track (Dauphin), a bungee-trampoline (Bootsma-<br />
Laan), The Horse Carousel (Hoefnagels), the “Walking<br />
Waterballs” (Van Raay), the “Babysport” kiddie ride<br />
(Rampen), and a Jet Ride. An ample choice of<br />
gastronomic operations provided the visitors with food<br />
and drinks and a number of game booths rounded off<br />
the cornucopia of attractions.<br />
The supporting programme at the Herbstkirmes<br />
included a spectacular fireworks display on the first<br />
Saturday evening. On Wednesday, Willie Oosterhuis,<br />
the TV host popular in Holland, appeared at the fairground<br />
accompanied by a film team. Thursday was the<br />
designated 1-Euro-Day and on the second Sunday<br />
evening the event was closed with yet another fireworks<br />
display.<br />
