WINTERLAND HASSELT (B)<br />

The 4 th “Winterland” with 85 participants in the Belgian<br />
city of Hasselt was held for 7 weeks from 19 th<br />
November 2011. Highlights – apart from Belgium’s<br />
largest transportable ice rink (1,000 m 2 ) and the<br />
gastronomic and sales stalls – were once again the<br />
“Haus vom Nikolaus”, or Home of Father Christmas,<br />
as well as the Christmas fair with the festively decorated<br />
coaster (“Christmas Ride”), Funhouse (“Christmas<br />
Hotel”), as well as the roundabout (“Winterland Express”).<br />
Much to the delight of the showmen and the<br />
organizers there was again an increase in the number<br />
of visitors to 615,000 this time. The photo on the right<br />
below was taken at the presentation of the Winterland<br />
event, and shows (from left to right) Carlo Gysens and<br />
