About the Author<br />

Paul E. S<strong>and</strong>in is a robotocist with i<strong>Robot</strong> Corporation, where he designs<br />

<strong>and</strong> builds systems for the Consumer <strong>Robot</strong>ics Division. Previously, he<br />

worked for RedZone <strong>Robot</strong>ics, where he designed suspension components<br />

for large-scale toxic waste cleanup robots. He has an intimate<br />

knowledge of robots, both large <strong>and</strong> small. He lives with his family in a<br />

suburb of Boston, Massachusetts.
