7. Click the rest of the baseline points you want to correct. As you click additional points, a line segment is drawn between adjacent points and the baseline is corrected between the points on the spectrum in the lower pane. Click as few points as necessary to draw a smooth baseline that will straighten pronounced curves or slopes. You can use the view finder to enlarge a portion of the spectrum to make it easier to click baseline points. The display of both the original and corrected spectra is affected by the view finder. To move one of the points you clicked and the line segments that contain the point, drag the point to a new location. To delete a point from the correction, click the point and then press the Delete key. The corrected spectrum is updated automatically.
