In order for a libret<strong>to</strong> <strong>to</strong> qualify for entry “under the heading appropriate<br />

prominently (see 0.8) or in the foreword or other prefa<strong>to</strong>ry matter <strong>of</strong> the publication.<br />

General <strong>rule</strong><br />

Excerpts from Serials<br />

If the item is a collection <strong>of</strong> excerpts from a serial, generally make a<br />

related work added entry for the serial only if the serial is mentioned in the chief<br />

source <strong>of</strong> information <strong>and</strong> all the items in the collection would not be entered under the<br />

same heading. If two or more serials are mentioned, make an added entry only for the<br />

latest if the titles represent a succession <strong>of</strong> changes (cf. 21.2C, 21.3B). If the titles<br />

represent different serials, make added entries for <strong>each</strong> if there are no more than three.<br />

If four or more different serials are mentioned, generally do not make an added entry for<br />

any <strong>of</strong> them.
