You will:<br />

Before the presentation<br />

1 Agree the purpose, content, style <strong>and</strong> tim<strong>in</strong>g of the presentation.<br />

2 Research <strong>and</strong> plan the presentation.<br />

3 Choose equipment <strong>and</strong> plan how to use the equipment’s features to best effect.<br />

4 Prepare the presentation to achieve its purpose.<br />

5 Obta<strong>in</strong> feedback on the presentation.<br />

6 Practice <strong>and</strong> time the presentation.<br />

7 Produce presentation h<strong>and</strong>outs.<br />

At the presentation<br />

8 Check equipment <strong>and</strong> resources.<br />

9 Circulate presentation h<strong>and</strong>outs <strong>and</strong> materials.<br />

10 Address the audience by speak<strong>in</strong>g clearly <strong>and</strong> confidently.<br />

11 Make the presentation <strong>and</strong> summarise your key po<strong>in</strong>ts.<br />

12 Use the equipment effectively, deal<strong>in</strong>g with any problems that may occur.<br />

13 Provide the audience with the opportunity to ask questions.<br />
