(4) 32°45′·53S 71°49′·65W<br />

PROCEDURE:<br />

(1) Participation in the VTS is mandatory for the following:<br />

(a) All vessels in transit towards Quintero Bay<br />

(b) Vessels entering or leaving the bay<br />

(c) Vessels anchoring within the port limits<br />

(2) Vessels must keep a permanent listening watch on VHF Ch 16.<br />

(3) Vessels should confi rm ETA 1h before arrival to Quintero <strong>Radio</strong> via VHF Ch 16.<br />

(4) Participation in the VTS is voluntary for vessels transiting the VTS area from the<br />

N, S or W but they must keep their AIS systems in operation.<br />

REPORTING:<br />

(1) On entering the VTS area vessels should establish communication with Quintero<br />

<strong>Radio</strong> stating the following information:<br />

(a) Vessel’s name<br />

(b) Call sign<br />

(c) ETA at the Pilot boarding position<br />

(2) Vessels in transit, outside <strong>of</strong> the port limits, should include in their report:<br />

(a) Vessel’s name<br />

(b) Departure time from last port<br />

(c) Destination port and ETA<br />
